Sarvodaya Shantisena – the Peace brigade has an Island wide
net work and the youth membership is following a two fold range of activities –
the service and training sections. Many activities are designed to strengthen
the leadership qualities. The 12 stage training programme is designed to
provide training in various aspects that
helps to acquire skills and knowledge that would enable them to be useful
citizens. Especially the rural youth has an important role to play if properly
trained and directed. Their exuberance and the will to play a part has to be
harnessed properly.
